Bars at Hossegor plage
Hossegor concentrates most of its nightlife in the golden triangle formed by the “towns” of Capbreton, Hossegor and Seignosse and the Coolin à la Plage is the first bar you come across on your way down to Hossegor’s main beach.
In its early days, this was my favorite bar. Firstly, because it stayed open all year round, and you could feel the warmth of an Irish pub! There’s always a pool table, Guinness of course, and regular live music!
Regulars regret the pub’s transformation towards a lounge style, less authentic and heterogeneous, but you’ve got to get used to it: as soon as a bar is successful in Hossegor, it ends up renovating itself in a sleek, club lounge atmosphere.

Further down the square, there are other bars. And for those who like quality beer, Kalimutxo is a beer cellar, but unfortunately closes in winter. How many times do I have to tell you, don’t give up on the little people of Hossegor – even in December, you can still see Germans, Welsh and many locals!
New bars spring up every year, and all you have to do is take a tour of the waterfront square, brasseries and bars, to find something to suit your taste.
And for those who want to stay longer after the bars have closed, there are two small discotheques.
